Job Description
As a Payroll Data Specialist at Paychex, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for a diverse portfolio of clients. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, a strong understanding of payroll principles, and the ability to work effectively with large datasets. You will be responsible for data entry, verification, reconciliation, and adherence to all relevant compliance standards. Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll for assigned clients accurately and on schedule, including data entry and validation.
- Verify and reconcile payroll data, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain employee records, including new hires, terminations, changes in compensation, and benefits.
- Generate payroll reports for management and clients.
- Respond to client inquiries regarding payroll discrepancies or issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with month-end and year-end payroll closing procedures.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure continuous compliance.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payroll-related challenges and improve processes.

- Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification.
