Job Description

Telus is offering an exciting Penetration Testing (Ethical Hacking) Intern position, designed for individuals with little to no prior professional experience. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior penetration testers in conducting security assessments and ethical hacking exercises.
- Learn to identify, analyze, and document security vulnerabilities in applications, networks, and systems.
- Support the development and improvement of penetration testing methodologies and tools.
- Participate in research on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.
- Contribute to internal training sessions and knowledge sharing within the security team.
- Document findings clearly and concisely, including steps for reproduction and potential remediation.
Required Skills
- Strong passion for cybersecurity and ethical hacking.
- Basic understanding of computer networking concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, routers).
- Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows and Linux.

Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a post-secondary program in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Understanding of common web vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10) or network attack vectors.
- Relevant certifications or participation in CTF (Capture The Flag) events are a plus.
