Job Description
Are you a problem-solver with a knack for detail and a desire to learn a valuable trade? Orkin is seeking a dedicated Pest Control Exclusion Technician to join our Augusta team. In this entry-level role, you will be trained to identify and seal potential entry points in buildings, preventing pests from entering and ensuring our clients’ peace of mind. No prior experience is required – we provide full, paid training to equip you with all the skills needed to succeed. Key Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive, paid training to learn pest exclusion techniques and safety protocols.
- Conduct thorough inspections of residential and commercial properties to identify pest entry points.
- Perform sealing and repair work, including minor carpentry, caulking, and screening, to block pest access.
- Install and maintain exclusion materials such as mesh, sweeps, and fillers.
- Communicate effectively with customers about exclusion services performed and future preventative measures.
- Operate company vehicles and equipment safely and responsibly.
- Maintain accurate service records and complete necessary paperwork.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions and environments (attics, crawl spaces, roofs).
- Physical ability to lift, carry, climb ladders, and work with tools.
