Job Description
Coastal Craftsmanship Group is seeking a motivated and reliable Plasterer’s Assistant to join our dynamic team in The Entrance, NSW. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in the building trades, offering ongoing full-time work and weekly pay. No prior experience is required; we are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to teamwork. You will work closely with experienced plasterers, assisting with various tasks to ensure high-quality finishes on a range of exciting projects across the Central Coast. Full training will be provided to help you develop essential skills in plastering and construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist plasterers with the preparation of surfaces, including cleaning, sanding, and minor repairs.
- Help mix plaster and render materials according to specifications.
- Support the application of plasterboard sheets, ensuring accurate measurements and cuts.
- Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure a safe and organized site.
- Handle and transport materials on site as required.
- Learn and follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Required Skills
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks
- Willingness to learn and take initiative
- Basic understanding of workplace safety (or willingness to learn immediately)
- Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Current NSW Class C Driver's License and reliable transport
- White Card (Construction Induction Card) – training can be arranged if not held
- Prior experience in a manual labor role or outdoor work
