Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Printing Press Operator to join our dynamic production team in Stratford. This role involves operating and maintaining our advanced printing presses to produce high-quality packaging materials. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a commitment to safety, and a desire to contribute to a collaborative manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor printing presses according to job specifications and production schedules.
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of press equipment.
- Load paper, ink, and other materials into the press.
- Monitor print quality, colour, and registration, making adjustments as necessary.
- Ensure all printed materials meet company quality standards and client specifications.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and efficient production.
- Complete production logs and quality control documentation accurately.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Printing Press Operator or in a similar production role (minimum 1 year).
- Familiarity with various printing techniques and press operations.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and colour perception.
- Ability to read and interpret job orders and technical specifications.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work shifts, which may include nights and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Print or a related field.
- Experience with specific press models used in packaging production.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
