Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Printing Press Operator to join our dynamic production team in Stratford. This role involves operating and maintaining our advanced printing presses to produce high-quality packaging materials. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a commitment to safety, and a desire to contribute to a collaborative manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor printing presses according to job specifications and production schedules.
  • Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of press equipment.
  • Load paper, ink, and other materials into the press.
  • Monitor print quality, colour, and registration, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Ensure all printed materials meet company quality standards and client specifications.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work area.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and efficient production.
  • Complete production logs and quality control documentation accurately.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Printing Press Operator or in a similar production role (minimum 1 year).
  • Familiarity with various printing techniques and press operations.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and colour perception.
  • Ability to read and interpret job orders and technical specifications.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work shifts, which may include nights and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Print or a related field.
  • Experience with specific press models used in packaging production.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
