Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and analytical Procurement Analyst to join our Corporate Supply team in Southbank, Melbourne. This role is pivotal in optimising our internal procurement processes, ensuring cost efficiency, supplier performance, and compliance with company policies. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the full procurement lifecycle, from spend analysis and market research to contract management and supplier relationship management. You will work closely with various internal stakeholders and external vendors to drive value and strategic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct spend analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for process improvement.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies and policies.
  • Support the tender and RFP processes, including supplier selection and negotiation.
  • Monitor supplier performance and manage supplier relationships, ensuring adherence to contractual agreements.
  • Prepare and analyse procurement reports, providing insights and recommendations to management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies, ethical guidelines, and relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and facilitate timely acquisition of goods and services.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Problem-solving aptitude.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with procurement software (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa).
  • Understanding of contract law and negotiation principles.
  • Experience in a corporate procurement environment.
  • CIPS certification or equivalent.
