Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Procurement Data Analyst to join our Corporate Supply team in Cairns. This pivotal role involves collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets related to procurement activities, supply chain performance, and vendor management. You will be instrumental in identifying trends, opportunities for cost savings, and risks within our supply chain. The ideal candidate will possess strong data visualization skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for senior management. Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and analyze procurement data from various sources (e.g., ERP systems, supplier databases, market intelligence).
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize key procurement metrics, supplier performance, and expenditure trends.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and supply chain optimization through data analysis.
  • Conduct spend analysis to support strategic sourcing initiatives and contract negotiations.
  • Monitor supplier performance against agreed KPIs and provide insights for supplier relationship management.
  • Assist in forecasting procurement needs and potential market impacts.
  • Collaborate with procurement managers and business units to understand their data requirements and provide analytical support.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all procurement systems and reports.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in procurement, supply chain, or finance.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas).
  • Strong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and identify meaningful trends.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Data Science, Finance, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP Ariba or other enterprise procurement systems.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and predictive modeling techniques.
  • Familiarity with procurement best practices and supply chain principles.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
