Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Python Data Engineer with a strong interest in Business Intelligence to join our growing team in Toowoomba. This role is perfect for someone looking to advance their career, apply their Python expertise to complex data challenges, and contribute directly to critical business insights. You will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and supporting BI initiatives that drive strategic decision-making across our organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python and relevant ETL tools.
- Collaborate with BI analysts and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability across all data sources.
- Develop and optimise data models for reporting and analytical purposes.
- Implement automated testing and monitoring frameworks for data pipelines.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in data engineering.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues efficiently.
- Continuously learn and apply new technologies to improve data infrastructure and processes.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Python programming for data manipulation and scripting.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Understanding of data modelling techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
