Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable Raw Materials Handler to join our production team in Chipping Norton. This is an outstanding entry-level opportunity for individuals looking to kickstart a career in manufacturing and logistics. You will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient flow of raw materials through our facility, from receiving to storage and distribution. Full comprehensive training will be provided, covering all aspects of material handling, inventory management, and workplace safety. Crucially, this role includes the potential for dedicated training and certification for forklift operation, opening doors to further career advancement within our company.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming raw materials.
- Safely store raw materials in designated areas, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Prepare and stage materials for transfer to production lines as per schedules.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate stock records.
- Operate manual and potentially powered material handling equipment (once trained and certified).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with production, quality, and logistics teams.
Required Skills
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills for record-keeping.
- Physical capability to lift and move materials (within safe limits).
