Job Description
We are urgently seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Regional Fruit Packers. This is a fantastic opportunity for an immediate start with accommodation provided, making it ideal for those looking to relocate for work or seeking seasonal employment. As a Fruit Packer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring fresh produce is prepared and packed to the highest standards for distribution. Key Responsibilities
- Carefully inspect fruit for quality, bruising, and defects.
- Sort and grade fruit according to size, colour, and quality standards.
- Pack fruit into designated cartons, crates, or bags efficiently and neatly.
- Label packages accurately and prepare them for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Adhere to all food safety and workplace health and safety regulations.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Physical fitness to stand, lift (up to 15kg), and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Basic communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a packing, warehouse, or manual labour role (not essential, but a plus).
- Current driver's license and reliable transport (useful for local amenities, though accommodation is provided).
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends if required.
