Job Description
Politico is seeking enthusiastic and aspiring writers to join our team as a Remote Online Magazine Contributor. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about current events, politics, policy, or related topics, who are eager to hone their writing skills and see their work published weekly. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds, including those with no prior professional writing experience. Full training and editorial support will be provided to help you develop your voice and craft compelling articles for our online platform. This is a 100% remote contract position, offering flexibility and the chance to contribute to a leading media organization from anywhere.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and pitch engaging article ideas related to current events, politics, policy, and other relevant topics.
- Write 1-2 original articles per week, adhering to editorial guidelines and deadlines.
- Conduct thorough research to ensure accuracy and factual integrity in all content.
- Collaborate with editors to refine article drafts and incorporate feedback.
- Ensure all content is plagiarism-free and adheres to journalistic ethical standards.
- Stay informed on current news and trends to generate timely and relevant content.
Required Skills
- Strong written communication skills and a passion for storytelling.
- Demonstrated interest in current events, politics, or specific policy areas.
- Ability to conduct basic research and synthesize information.
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of meeting deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications
