Job Description

As a Restaurant Ice Machine Restocker, you will play a critical role in the smooth operation of our kitchen and bar. This is a highly active and physical position requiring a dependable individual to ensure all restaurant ice machines are consistently stocked with ice. You will be responsible for transporting heavy bags of ice from storage to various locations, diligently maintaining ice levels, and adhering to strict cleanliness and safety standards. This role is ideal for someone who is physically capable, reliable, and thrives in a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regularly monitor ice levels in all designated restaurant ice machines (kitchen, bar, server stations).
  • Transport heavy bags of ice (up to 50 lbs) from delivery and storage areas to ice machines throughout the restaurant.
  • Manually load ice into machines, ensuring they are filled to adequate capacity.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of ice bins, scoops, and surrounding work areas.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or issues with ice machines to management promptly.
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and food safety protocols.
  • Assist with general kitchen support tasks and cleaning duties as needed during slower periods.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout a shift.
  • Physical stamina and agility for a demanding, active role.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Basic understanding of hygiene and safety practices in a food service environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean workspace.
