Job Description
We are seeking skilled and highly motivated Road Barrier Installers to join our night shift team in Liverpool. This critical role involves the installation, maintenance, and removal of temporary and permanent road safety barriers on active construction sites and public roads. Working primarily during night hours, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety of both road users and our on-site teams. This position offers a highly competitive hourly rate for those with a strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and dismantle various types of road safety barriers (e.g., concrete, steel, water-filled) according to project specifications and safety regulations.
- Operate specialist equipment and tools safely and efficiently for barrier installation and adjustment.
- Conduct pre-shift checks on equipment and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Work effectively as part of a team to complete projects on schedule and to a high standard.
- Assist with traffic management setups and site preparations as required.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring tools and materials are stored safely.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to work night shifts reliably and consistently.
- Strong physical fitness and ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safe working practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions.
- A valid UK driving license.
- Basic knowledge of construction site safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
- Previous experience in road barrier installation or general civil construction.
- Certification in operating relevant plant machinery (e.g., telehandler, forklift).
- First Aid certification.
- Lantra 12AB qualification (or equivalent) for temporary traffic management.
