Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Room Service Order Taker. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for someone looking to start their career in hospitality, with full training provided. As a Room Service Order Taker, you will be the first point of contact for our guests’ in-room dining needs, ensuring their experience is seamless and enjoyable. This role primarily involves night shifts, offering a unique dynamic and the chance to contribute to our guests’ comfort during late hours. Key Responsibilities
- Receive and accurately process room service orders via telephone, ensuring all guest preferences and dietary requirements are noted.
- Provide detailed information about menu items, specials, and promotions to guests.
- Upsell and cross-sell menu items where appropriate, enhancing the guest experience.
- Accurately input orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests with professionalism and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and health and safety standards.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
