As a Room Service Order Taker, you will be the first point of contact for our guests’ dining needs during the overnight hours. You will be responsible for taking accurate food and beverage orders, answering guest inquiries, and coordinating with our culinary and service teams to ensure prompt and precise delivery. Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming room service calls promptly and professionally.
  • Accurately take and input food and beverage orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Provide detailed information about menu items, specials, and promotions.
  • Upsell and cross-sell menu items where appropriate.
  • Address guest inquiries and resolve any order-related issues with courtesy and efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and room service attendants to ensure timely order preparation and delivery.
  • Process payments accurately when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station.
  • Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction is consistently achieved.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order taking.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • A positive attitude and a genuine desire to assist guests.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliability and punctuality for night shifts.

  • No prior experience is required; full training will be provided.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service role, particularly in hospitality or call center environments, is an asset but not required.
  • Fluency in both English and French is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with POS systems (training will be provided for specific systems).
