Job Description
Are you eager to start a career in a hands-on trade? Hervey Bay Security Screens & Blinds is looking for a motivated and reliable Security Screen Installer Helper to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with no prior experience to learn a valuable trade from the ground up. You will work alongside experienced installers, gaining practical skills in the installation of security screens and doors. We provide comprehensive training and a supportive environment where you can develop your craft. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior installers with the measurement, cutting, and fitting of security screens and doors.
- Prepare work sites by gathering tools, materials, and equipment.
- Perform general labour duties, including lifting, carrying, and cleaning up work areas.
- Learn to identify different types of security products and installation techniques.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures on every job site.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
Required Skills
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of measurements (training provided).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid Australian Driver's License (P2 or higher).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with hand and power tools (not essential, but a plus).
- Construction White Card (can be obtained during probation period).
- Enthusiasm for a career in trades.
