Job Description
Join Nutrien Ag Solutions as a Sheep Station Hand and embark on a rewarding career in Australian agriculture. No prior experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided across all aspects of the role. You will become an integral part of our station team, contributing to the health, welfare, and productivity of our sheep flocks. This role offers an incredible opportunity to learn practical farming skills, develop a strong work ethic, and enjoy the unique lifestyle of rural Australia, with administrative support and recruitment managed from our Parramatta office.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily feeding and watering of sheep.
- Participate in mustering, drafting, and shearing activities.
- Monitor sheep health and report any signs of illness or injury to supervisors.
- Assist with drenching, vaccination, and other animal health treatments.
- Support the maintenance of fences, yards, and other station infrastructure.
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment under supervision.
- Ensure animal welfare standards are met at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of all working areas.
- Actively participate in training programs and seek continuous improvement.
Required Skills
- A genuine passion for animals, especially sheep.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
- Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
