Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and focused Security Dispatcher for a shopping mall located in Manchester. This is a crucial sit-down role within our control room, responsible for monitoring security systems, dispatching security personnel, and maintaining clear communication channels. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a calm demeanor under pressure, and the ability to operate various communication and security monitoring tools. You will be an integral part of ensuring the safety and security of the mall’s visitors, staff, and assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor CCTV systems and alarm panels diligently, identifying and reporting any suspicious activities or incidents.
- Receive and prioritize incoming calls and radio transmissions from security personnel and mall management.
- Efficiently dispatch security officers to incidents, emergencies, or required locations within the mall.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of all security incidents, dispatches, and significant events.
- Communicate effectively with emergency services (police, fire, ambulance) when required.
- Provide clear and concise instructions and support to on-site security teams.
- Operate access control systems and other security technology as needed.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain organized documentation.

- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office Suite)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and observation skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a control room, dispatch, or customer service environment
- SIA Door Supervisor or CCTV license (or willingness to obtain)
- Knowledge of security protocols and emergency procedures
