Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Site Lead – Construction & Engineering to join our team in Gladstone, Queensland. This pivotal role involves overseeing all on-site construction and engineering activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will be a critical link between project management, site operations, and various stakeholders, driving efficiency and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all aspects of construction and engineering site operations.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain project schedules.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement effective solutions.
- Oversee site personnel, including daily briefings, task allocation, and performance management.
- Prepare and maintain accurate site reports, logs, and documentation.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Manage site resources, including equipment, materials, and labor.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment on site.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a Site Lead or similar supervisory role within large-scale construction or engineering projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, engineering principles, and project management techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, teams, and schedules effectively.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Thorough knowledge of Australian construction safety standards and regulations (e.g., WHS Act).
- Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or advanced certification in Construction Management.
- Experience with major industrial or infrastructure projects in Queensland.
- Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP).
- First Aid and CPR certifications.
