Job Description
Are you looking for an exciting entry-level opportunity in healthcare? Nuffield Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our Sleep Clinic as a Night Technician Trainee. This vital role involves monitoring patients during sleep studies throughout the night, ensuring their comfort, and accurately collecting data. No prior experience is required as full, comprehensive training will be provided to equip you with all the skills needed to excel. You will play a crucial part in diagnosing and treating sleep disorders, contributing directly to improving our patients’ quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for sleep studies, including attaching electrodes and sensors according to established protocols.
- Monitor patients throughout the night, observing sleep patterns, physiological data, and any patient discomfort.
- Document observations, events, and technical issues accurately and promptly.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of patients at all times during their sleep study.
- Troubleshoot equipment and resolve minor technical issues to maintain data quality.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Adhere to all Nuffield Health policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
- Participate actively in all provided training and development programs.

Preferred Qualifications
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Previous experience in a customer service or care-oriented role (non-medical experience welcome).
- Certification in Basic Life Support or First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
