Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Soil Sampling Assistant and embark on an exciting career in outdoor science. You will play a crucial role in collecting vital soil samples for environmental assessment projects, working primarily outdoors in various locations around South Brisbane and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate and efficient soil sampling in accordance with established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Operate and maintain field equipment, including GPS devices, augers, and sample collection tools.
- Prepare and label soil samples for transportation to the laboratory.
- Maintain detailed field notes and complete necessary documentation accurately.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding field progress and challenges.
- Assist with equipment calibration and minor field repairs as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

- Valid Australian driver's license (manual preferred).
