Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and physically capable Solar Cleaning Labourer to join our dedicated team in Alice Springs. This role involves performing meticulous cleaning of solar panels located on various roof types, ensuring maximum efficiency and output for our clients’ solar installations. As a Solar Cleaning Labourer, you will be responsible for working safely at heights, utilising specialised equipment, and adhering to strict safety protocols. This is a demanding yet rewarding role offering a high hourly rate for individuals committed to quality work and safety. Full training will be provided to ensure all tasks are performed competently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently clean solar panels on residential and commercial rooftops.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety procedures, particularly for working at heights and manual handling.
- Operate and maintain specialised cleaning equipment and tools.
- Perform pre- and post-job site inspections to ensure safety compliance and quality standards.
- Work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
- Maintain a professional demeanour and represent EcoWatt Solar positively on client sites.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors immediately.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and climbing.
- Comfortable and capable of working safely at heights on rooftops.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and following instructions precisely.
- Reliable, punctual, and possesses a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety principles.
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a labourer, construction, or outdoor maintenance role.
- Current 'Working at Heights' certification.
- Current First Aid certification.
- A valid Australian driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Experience operating pressure washers or similar cleaning equipment.
