Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech Pathologist to join our dynamic team in Bristol. This unique hybrid role offers the opportunity to work across both private practice settings and within local schools, providing comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and therapy for a diverse caseload of children and adults. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing individualised treatment plans, collaborating with families, educators, and other healthcare professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes. For international candidates, full visa sponsorship and support will be provided, ensuring a smooth transition to working and living in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough speech, language, and communication assessments for a varied caseload in both clinic and school environments.
- Develop and implement evidence-based individualised and group therapy programs.
- Collaborate effectively with parents, carers, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy goals into daily routines.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records and progress reports.
- Provide training and support to school staff and families on communication strategies.
- Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and continuous professional development.
- Adhere to Nuffield Health's clinical standards and professional ethics.
Required Skills
- Qualified Speech Pathologist with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Therapy.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in the UK, or eligibility for registration and commitment to obtain it.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills across a range of communication disorders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working within school settings or private practice.
- Experience with specific therapeutic approaches (e.g., PECS, Makaton, SCERTS).
- Experience working with neurodiverse populations.
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a car (desirable for school visits).
