Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Spice Blending & Packaging Worker to join our day shift team in Louisville, KY. In this role, you will be an essential part of bringing delicious flavors to life, working in an environment that literally smells great! You’ll be responsible for accurately blending various spices according to recipes, operating packaging machinery, and ensuring product quality. This is an on-site position that requires a commitment to safety, efficiency, and teamwork. Full training will be provided to ensure your success in understanding our processes and quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately measure and blend dry spices and ingredients according to established recipes and production schedules.
- Operate and monitor packaging machinery, including fillers, sealers, and labelers, ensuring correct settings and smooth operation.
- Perform quality checks on blended spices and packaged products to ensure adherence to McCormick's high standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety protocols.
- Load raw materials into blending equipment and transfer finished products to storage or shipping areas.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report more complex problems to maintenance personnel.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets and contribute to a positive work environment.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and recipes accurately.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurement and counting.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs repetitively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or food processing environment (6 months preferred).
- Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Experience operating industrial machinery or packaging equipment.
