Job Description
Are you passionate about building inclusive communities and supporting your fellow students? Greystar is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Student Housing Resident Advisors (RAs) to join our team in Santa Monica. This is a unique live-in opportunity where you’ll play a vital role in fostering a positive and engaging environment for student residents, while also benefiting from a significant rent discount. As an RA, you will serve as a primary contact for residents, provide leadership, facilitate community development, and assist with crisis management. We are looking for individuals who are proactive, empathetic, excellent communicators, and committed to upholding community standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging community building programs and events that cater to diverse student interests.
- Serve as a resource and mentor for residents, offering guidance and support on academic, social, and personal matters.
- Respond to resident inquiries, concerns, and emergencies, including after-hours on-call duties.
- Uphold and enforce community policies and procedures to ensure a safe and respectful living environment.
- Conduct regular check-ins and walk-throughs to ensure the well-being of residents and the upkeep of the property.
- Mediate conflicts and address roommate issues, promoting positive interpersonal relationships.
- Collaborate with professional staff to address serious incidents and escalate concerns when necessary.
- Assist with move-in and move-out processes, orientation, and other administrative tasks as assigned.
- Act as a positive role model and ambassador for the student housing community and Greystar.
Required Skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Must be a currently enrolled student in good academic standing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a leadership role (e.g., student government, club officer, volunteer coordinator).
- Familiarity with student development theories or residential life principles.
- CPR and First Aid certification (training may be provided).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, for programs and on-call duties.
