Job Description
Are you an enthusiastic and driven individual looking to kickstart your career in supply chain and logistics? Cisco is seeking a proactive Supply Chain & Logistics Intern to join our Operations Experience team in San Jose, CA. This entry-level internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in various aspects of our global supply chain, from planning and procurement to distribution and inventory management. No prior experience is required; we are looking for candidates eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced technology environment. Full training and mentorship will be provided to help you succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in data collection and analysis related to supply chain performance, inventory levels, and logistics costs.
- Support the coordination of inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery and compliance.
- Help maintain and update supply chain documentation, including process flows and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., procurement, manufacturing, sales) to resolve operational issues.
- Participate in inventory reconciliation and cycle counting activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain department.
- Learn to utilize enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and other supply chain software tools.
- Prepare reports and presentations summarizing supply chain activities and recommendations.
