Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and meticulous Systems Data Auditor to join our information accuracy team in Grafton. In this ongoing role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of critical data across our various systems. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of data quality within a complex financial services environment. You will work closely with multiple departments to identify discrepancies, implement corrective actions, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our data governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular audits of system data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Identify and investigate data anomalies, errors, and inconsistencies, determining root causes.
  • Develop and implement robust data validation procedures and controls.
  • Collaborate with IT, operations, and business units to resolve data integrity issues.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of data governance policies and procedures.
  • Monitor adherence to internal data standards and external regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in projects aimed at improving data quality and system reliability.
  • Provide recommendations for system and process improvements to enhance data accuracy.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in data auditing, quality assurance, or a similar analytical role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with an exceptional eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., SQL, Excel, data visualization software).
  • Understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex data issues clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience with financial services data and regulatory compliance (e.g., APRA, ASIC).
  • Familiarity with various database systems and data warehousing concepts.
  • Certifications in data analytics, auditing, or quality management.
