Job Description
Are you passionate about the future of telecommunications and eager to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge 5G technology? AT&T is seeking a highly motivated Telecommunications Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team in El Paso, TX. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers, contribute to real-world projects, and develop a comprehensive understanding of 5G network architecture, deployment, and optimization. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, planning, and optimization of 5G network infrastructure.
- Conduct data analysis related to network performance, coverage, and capacity.
- Support field engineers in the deployment, testing, and troubleshooting of 5G equipment.
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings and collaborate on project initiatives.
- Research emerging telecommunications technologies and contribute to innovation discussions.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for ongoing projects.
- Learn to utilize various network monitoring and analysis tools.
Required Skills
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of wireless communication principles (e.g., LTE, 5G concepts).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with network simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, NS-3).
- Basic programming skills (e.g., Python, C++).
- Coursework or project experience related to wireless networks, signal processing, or data communications.
