Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and physically capable Seasonal Tennis Court Maintenance Worker to join our Groundskeeping team. This role is crucial for ensuring our tennis courts and surrounding grounds are in pristine condition for guest use throughout the season. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the daily upkeep, cleaning, and basic maintenance of our outdoor tennis courts, as well as assisting with general groundskeeping duties across the resort property. This is a temporary, seasonal position perfect for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and take pride in their work.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily inspection and cleaning of tennis courts, including sweeping, blowing, and removing debris.
- Ensure court surfaces are free from leaves, dirt, and other foreign objects.
- Adjust and maintain net tension, ensuring proper height and condition.
- Clean and organize surrounding court areas, including benches, fences, and shaded structures.
- Monitor court conditions and report any damage or issues requiring repair to supervisors.
- Assist with general groundskeeping tasks such as watering plants, weeding, mowing, and minor landscaping projects as needed.
- Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., leaf blowers, mowers, rakes).
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Provide excellent service and maintain a professional appearance while interacting with guests and staff.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions (lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, standing, walking for extended periods).
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and appearance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures for outdoor work and equipment operation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or outdoor maintenance.
- Familiarity with tennis court maintenance procedures or an interest in tennis.
- Experience operating basic groundskeeping equipment.
