Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Traffic Marshall to join our team on an immediate start basis in Innisfail, QLD. This role is perfect for individuals looking for straightforward, impactful work with competitive pay. As a Traffic Marshall, you will play a crucial role in maintaining safety and efficiency on our active construction sites, directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Full training will be provided for site-specific procedures, making this an accessible opportunity for those ready to learn and contribute.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently direct vehicle traffic, including heavy machinery and deliveries, on and around the construction site.
- Ensure the safety of pedestrians, workers, and the general public in and around the work zone.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with drivers, site personnel, and supervisors.
- Set up, maintain, and dismantle traffic control signage and barriers as required.
- Monitor traffic flow and adjust control measures to optimize site operations.
- Adhere strictly to all site safety protocols and company policies.
- Report any safety incidents, hazards, or concerns to the site supervisor immediately.
Required Skills
- Valid Traffic Control/Management accreditation (ideally Queensland-specific).
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Physical fitness to stand for long periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Basic First Aid and CPR certification.
- Previous experience on a construction or similar work site (even in an unrelated role).
- A proactive approach to problem-solving.
