Job Description
Are you passionate about coffee and eager to learn the art of barista craft? Starbucks Canada in Kitchener is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a Trainee Barista / Coffee Shop Assistant. This is an incredible entry-level opportunity for those with no prior experience in the coffee industry. We provide comprehensive, hands-on training for all aspects of the role, from mastering espresso shots to delivering exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Learn and master the preparation of a wide variety of coffee beverages and other menu items following Starbucks' recipes and standards.
- Greet customers warmly, take accurate orders, and process transactions efficiently using our POS system.
- Provide outstanding customer service by anticipating needs, answering questions, and resolving issues with a positive attitude.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including coffee machines, service areas, and dining spaces.
- Restock inventory, brew fresh coffee, and ensure product freshness and quality.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures of the store as required.

- Previous experience in a customer service role is a plus, but not required.
