Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Actively participate in and successfully complete all phases of the intensive Firefighter Academy training program.
- Learn and master fire suppression techniques, emergency medical procedures, hazardous materials response, and rescue operations.
- Maintain high levels of physical fitness and mental readiness required for emergency response.
- Adhere strictly to all departmental policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Assist senior firefighters in drills, training exercises, and community engagement initiatives.
- Develop proficiency in the use and maintenance of firefighting equipment and apparatus.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated exceptional physical fitness and stamina.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in high-stress situations.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities.

- Valid Ontario Class G driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education or trades certification.
- First Aid and CPR certification (e.g., Standard First Aid, CPR-C/HCP).
- Experience in a demanding team-oriented environment (e.g., sports, military, volunteer work).
- Community involvement or volunteer experience.
