Job Description

BGIS is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Trainee Military Base Support Worker for a civilian public sector role in Calgary, Alberta. No prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive training to equip you with the skills needed to succeed. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals eager to contribute to the essential operations of a military base, working alongside a supportive team in a critical environment. You will play a vital role in maintaining the operational readiness and well-being of the base personnel and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior facilities staff with routine maintenance and repairs across the base.
- Perform general labor duties, including groundskeeping, cleaning, and waste management.
- Support logistical operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing supplies and equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards or maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and operational guidelines.
- Provide administrative support as needed, including record-keeping and data entry.
- Participate in training sessions and learn new skills relevant to military base support.
- Operate basic equipment and tools under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other base personnel.
