Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and reliable Transit Train Cleaner to join our night shift team in Wrexham. This is a secure employment opportunity for an individual committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our train fleet. Working during unsociable hours, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our passengers enjoy a clean and pleasant environment for their daily commutes and journeys. Full training will be provided to ensure you are equipped with the knowledge and skills for this specialized cleaning role, focusing on safety protocols and efficient cleaning techniques specific to our rolling stock.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough cleaning of train interiors, including carriages, toilets, vestibules, and driver cabins.
  • Empty waste bins and replace liners.
  • Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
  • Clean and sanitize surfaces, windows, and seating areas.
  • Replenish consumables such as soap, toilet paper, and hand sanitiser.
  • Report any damage, defects, or safety concerns observed during cleaning.
  • Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Handle cleaning chemicals safely and according to guidelines.
  • Work efficiently and meticulously to meet nightly cleaning schedules.
