Job Description
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented University Research Admin to join our team at the Port Lincoln Campus. This role is crucial in supporting the administrative functions of various research projects and initiatives within the higher education sector. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to researchers, ensuring the smooth operation of research activities from inception through to completion. This includes managing documentation, coordinating meetings, assisting with grant applications, and maintaining research databases. You will play a key role in facilitating the research output of the university, working closely with faculty, students, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to research staff, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and arranging travel.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of research grant applications, ensuring compliance with university and funding body guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of research projects, grants, ethics approvals, and publications.
- Coordinate research-related events, workshops, and seminars.
- Liaise with internal departments (e.g., finance, HR, legal) and external stakeholders regarding research project requirements.
- Process invoices, expense claims, and other financial documentation related to research projects.
- Assist in the preparation of research reports, presentations, and other communication materials.
- Manage research data entry and maintain various research databases and information systems.
- Support the ethical review process for research projects, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and submitted.
