Job Description
Are you looking to kickstart a career in the automotive insurance industry? State Farm in Indianapolis is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Vehicle Damage Estimator (Trainee). This is an entry-level opportunity where no prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive, hands-on training to equip you with all the skills needed to become a certified Vehicle Damage Estimator. You will learn the entire estimation process, from initial damage assessment to preparing detailed reports, all while working in a supportive office environment focused on customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in a structured training program to learn vehicle damage assessment techniques and estimation software.
- Shadow experienced estimators to understand the process of inspecting damaged vehicles and identifying repair needs.
- Learn to review repair procedures, part costs, and labor rates to prepare accurate estimates for vehicle damage.
- Communicate effectively with policyholders, repair shops, and claims adjusters regarding repair estimates and processes.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to claims processing and documentation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automotive repair methods and insurance industry standards.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the claims estimation process.
