Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Virtual Piano/Music Teachers to join our growing team. This is a 100% remote position where you will inspire students of all ages and skill levels from the comfort of your own home. Utilise your musical expertise and engaging teaching style to deliver personalised piano and general music lessons via live video link, helping students develop their talents and achieve their musical goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective one-on-one or small group music lessons online via video conferencing.
- Develop and adapt lesson plans tailored to individual student needs, progress, and learning styles.
- Assess student performance, provide constructive feedback, and track progress over time.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with students and parents regarding lesson schedules and student achievements.
- Utilise digital tools and resources to enhance the learning experience.
- Encourage student practice and provide guidance on musical theory, technique, and repertoire.
- Participate in professional development opportunities provided by Aussie Virtuoso Learning.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in piano performance and music theory.
- Demonstrated experience teaching piano or general music to diverse age groups.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students.
- Reliable internet connection, computer with webcam and microphone, and access to a digital piano or acoustic piano with MIDI capabilities.
- Familiarity with online conferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet).
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for music education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field.
- Prior experience teaching music in an online or virtual environment.
- Ability to teach additional instruments or music disciplines (e.g., guitar, voice, theory).
- Experience with music notation software or digital audio workstations (DAWs).
- Current Working With Children Check (or equivalent) in Queensland.
