Job Description
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Virtual Piano/Music Teacher to join our growing team. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to teach students from the comfort of your own home via video link. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective piano and music theory lessons to students of various ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced players. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about music, patient, and able to inspire students through online instruction.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one virtual piano and music theory lessons via video conferencing software.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and learning styles.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.
- Communicate effectively with students and, where applicable, their parents/guardians regarding progress and lesson expectations.
- Maintain a professional and inspiring online teaching environment.
- Prepare students for exams, performances, or personal musical goals as required.
- Stay updated on best practices for online music education and pedagogical techniques.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in piano performance to at least an intermediate/advanced level.
- Strong understanding of music theory, harmony, and sight-reading.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and the ability to motivate students of all ages.
- Reliable internet connection, webcam, and microphone for virtual teaching.
- Familiarity with online teaching platforms and video conferencing tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of proven experience in teaching piano or music to individuals.
- Prior experience with online teaching or tutoring.
- Ability to teach other instruments (e.g., guitar, voice) is a bonus.
- Experience working with diverse age groups, including children and adults.
