Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and self-motivated Warehouse Janitorial Staff member to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of our logistics facility in Austin, TX. In this vital role, you will be responsible for a variety of cleaning tasks, ensuring a safe and pleasant working environment for all employees. This position requires independent work, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to facility upkeep. Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal in assigned areas.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and other common areas.
- Empty waste bins and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Restock supplies in restrooms and breakrooms as needed.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and communicate needs to management.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, including proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers or scrubbers, after receiving proper training.
- Address minor spills and clean-up requests in a timely manner.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift (up to 25 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures for cleaning chemicals (training provided).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a janitorial or cleaning role is a plus, but not required.
- Familiarity with various cleaning techniques and equipment.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
