Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our dedicated team as a Wedding Venue Setup Assistant. This is a crucial, hands-on role focused on preparing our beautiful historic venue for weddings and other special events, primarily on weekends. If you’re physically fit, enjoy working as part of a team, and have a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you! No prior experience in event setup is required as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of furniture, decor, and equipment for various events, including weddings, conferences, and private parties.
- Carefully move and arrange tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, and other event infrastructure according to layout plans.
- Support the events team in ensuring all areas are immaculately presented and ready for guests.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles with event supplies and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas and event spaces.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines and manual handling procedures at all times.
- Work efficiently and collaboratively within a team to meet tight deadlines.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling heavy objects.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Attention to detail to ensure setups meet high standards.
- Proactive and able to follow instructions accurately.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Available to work consistently on weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hospitality or events environment (beneficial but not essential).
- Basic understanding of manual handling techniques.
