Job Description
Join Gameloft ANZ as a WFH Creative Writer to craft compelling narratives, intriguing characters, and immersive worlds for our upcoming mobile games and interactive app experiences. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the storytelling core of popular titles, working entirely remotely from anywhere within Australia. You will be instrumental in conceptualizing, writing, and refining storylines that resonate with global audiences and enhance user engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop original storylines, character bios, dialogue, and lore for mobile games and apps.
- Collaborate with game designers, artists, and product managers to integrate narrative elements seamlessly into gameplay.
- Iterate on scripts and narrative designs based on feedback and playtesting results.
- Maintain consistency in tone, voice, and narrative style across various projects.
- Research trends in gaming, literature, and popular culture to inform creative decisions.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions for new game concepts and features.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in creative writing, particularly for narrative-driven content.
- Exceptional storytelling abilities with a strong understanding of plot, character development, and world-building.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Proficiency with standard writing software (e.g., Google Docs, Microsoft Word).
- Strong self-motivation and a passion for gaming and interactive media.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing, English, Communications, or a related field.
- Previous experience writing for video games, mobile apps, or interactive fiction.
- Familiarity with game development pipelines and narrative design principles.
