Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and highly organized WFH Support Coordinator with a strong community service focus to join our remote team at Lifeline Australia. In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation of our virtual support services, connecting individuals with the vital help they need. You will serve as the backbone of our remote operations, coordinating resources, managing schedules, and providing essential administrative support to our dedicated volunteers and staff. Your work will directly contribute to delivering our mission and making a tangible difference in the lives of people experiencing crisis, all from the comfort of your home office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily schedules and shifts for remote support staff and volunteers.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to ensure the smooth operation of WFH services.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for internal team members regarding operational inquiries and support needs.
  • Assist in the onboarding process and ongoing training of new remote volunteers and staff.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records, databases, and documentation related to community service activities.
  • Facilitate effective communication channels between different departments to optimize service delivery and team cohesion.
  • Troubleshoot basic technical issues related to remote work platforms and tools, providing initial support or escalating as needed.
  • Ensure strict adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and best practices in all remote operations.
  • Support the management of virtual resources and equipment for the remote team.

Required Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a clear and empathetic tone.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a remote environment.
  • Proficiency in virtual communication and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Slack).

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as an integral part of a remote team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a coordinator, administrative support, or similar role.

  • Familiarity with CRM software or volunteer management systems.
