Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Trainee Port Authority Operations Assistants. This is an exceptional entry-level opportunity for those looking to start a career in the dynamic maritime industry. No prior experience in port operations is required as full, comprehensive training will be provided to successful candidates. This role involves shift work, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, essential for maintaining continuous port operations. You will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of vessels and goods, contributing to the smooth running of our regional maritime activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the monitoring and coordination of vessel movements within the harbour and designated areas, under supervision.
- Learn and apply port safety procedures and regulations.
- Support the operational team with administrative tasks and data entry related to port activities.
- Communicate effectively with vessel crews, port users, and internal teams.
- Conduct routine checks of port facilities and report any anomalies or maintenance needs.
- Participate in emergency response drills and learn incident management protocols.
- Operate basic port equipment as trained and authorized.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of daily operations.
Required Skills
