Job Description
We are urgently seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our team as Scrap Metal Handlers. This is an immediate start opportunity with top hourly pay rates for those ready to contribute to our busy recycling facility in Greenway. No prior experience in metal handling is necessary; we provide comprehensive on-the-job training to ensure you are confident and competent in your role. Key Responsibilities
- Sort, grade, and process various types of scrap metal according to company standards.
- Operate basic material handling equipment safely, such as forklifts or bobcats (training provided if needed).
- Assist with loading and unloading scrap materials from trucks and containers.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Perform general yard duties as required to support efficient operations.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily production targets.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25kg).
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work effectively in an outdoor, industrial environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Team-oriented attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Australian Driver's License.
- Experience operating heavy machinery (e.g., forklift, bobcat) – certification highly regarded but not essential.
- Previous experience in a similar outdoor or industrial setting.
