Job Description
We are seeking reliable and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Factory Packers at our state-of-the-art facility in Footscray. This is an excellent opportunity for ongoing, full-time work, Monday to Friday. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our products are packaged efficiently and to the highest quality standards, ready for distribution. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal role for individuals looking to start or further their career in manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate packing machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect products for quality defects before packaging.
- Accurately pack finished goods into cartons, boxes, or other containers.
- Label packages correctly and prepare them for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Assist with other general factory duties as required.
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift moderate weights.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a factory, warehouse, or production environment (desirable but not essential).
- Basic understanding of food safety principles (HACCP) or willingness to learn.
- Forklift license (LF) would be an advantage.
