Job Description
Join the dedicated team at Toll Group as a Parcel Sorter on our critical Midnight Shift. This is a fantastic opportunity for reliable individuals to contribute to Australia’s vital logistics network, ensuring packages reach their destinations on time. We offer high penalty rates for this night shift, recognising the commitment required for working unsocial hours. No prior experience in logistics is required as full training will be provided to help you excel in this role. Key Responsibilities
- Manually sort parcels, packages, and freight according to destination codes.
- Load and unload parcels from conveyor belts, vehicles, and cages.
- Operate various material handling equipment safely and efficiently (after training).
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to 5S principles.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet sorting deadlines.
- Report any damaged or misplaced parcels to supervisors.
Required Skills
- Ability to work consistent midnight shifts (e.g., 10 PM – 6 AM).
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and move parcels up to 25kg regularly.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to safety procedures.
- Effective communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus but not essential.
- Basic understanding of sorting systems.
- Forklift license (LF) is advantageous but not required for this specific sorter role.
