Job Description
Join our team as a Film Set Location Security Officer, specializing in overnight shifts. This is an incredible opportunity to work behind the scenes in the vibrant entertainment industry, safeguarding valuable equipment, sensitive locations, and high-profile personnel during film and television production. You will be a crucial part of ensuring a safe and uninterrupted creative process, working in various unique and exciting locations throughout Pasadena. This role requires vigilance, reliability, and the ability to work independently during night hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of film set locations, ensuring the security of all equipment, property, and restricted areas.
- Monitor surveillance systems and respond to alarms or security breaches promptly.
- Control access to the set, verifying credentials for all personnel, visitors, and vendors.
- Maintain detailed logs of activities, incidents, and shift changes.
- Provide a visible security presence to deter unauthorized access and potential threats.
- Respond to emergency situations such as medical emergencies, fires, or disturbances, following established protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with production staff, local law enforcement, and other security personnel.
- Enforce set rules and regulations to ensure a safe and orderly environment.
- Safeguard sensitive information and maintain confidentiality regarding production details.
Required Skills

- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Reliability and punctuality for overnight shifts.
- Ability to remain alert and focused for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of security principles.

- Valid state-issued Guard Card (or ability to obtain one prior to employment).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in security, especially in a dynamic or event-based setting.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience with security technology (CCTV, access control systems).
