Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Architect to design, develop, and manage robust and scalable data warehousing solutions. This role is critical in transforming complex business requirements into high-performance data models and ensuring data integrity and accessibility. The successful candidate will be a thought leader in data architecture, playing a key role in our data strategy and execution. Relocation assistance will be provided for qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, high-performance data warehouse architectures, including dimensional models and data marts.
- Lead the full lifecycle of data warehousing projects, from requirements gathering and analysis to design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Define and enforce data governance, quality, and security standards within the data warehouse environment.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and BI developers to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend new data warehousing technologies, tools, and methodologies.
- Optimize existing data warehouse systems for performance and scalability.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
- Document technical designs, data flows, and operational procedures.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data warehousing, ETL/ELT development, and data architecture.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle).
- Strong understanding of data modeling principles (dimensional modeling, 3NF).
- Experience with at least one major cloud data warehousing platform (e.g., Snowflake, Google BigQuery, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse Analytics).
- Familiarity with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, DataStage, SSIS, Talend).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Certifications in cloud data platforms or data warehousing.
