Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Entry Level Catering Assistant to join our friendly catering team at Nuneaton College & Sixth Form Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in catering, with no prior experience required. Full training will be provided to ensure you gain all the necessary skills and confidence. You will work as part of a team to prepare and serve meals to students and staff, maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, and contribute to a positive dining experience. This role is offered on a term-time only basis, perfect for aligning with school holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals, snacks, and beverages to students and staff.
- Set up and clear down dining areas, ensuring they are clean and welcoming.
- Wash dishes, cutlery, and cooking utensils, and maintain kitchen hygiene standards.
- Restock supplies and assist with inventory management as directed.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
- Operate basic kitchen equipment safely after appropriate training.
- Provide excellent customer service to all students and staff.
- Support the catering team in daily operations and special events.
Required Skills
- No prior experience in catering is necessary – full training provided.
