Job Description
Join Whole Foods Market as a Supermarket Home Delivery Driver and play a crucial role in bringing quality groceries directly to our customers’ homes. This position offers flexible hours, allowing you to create a schedule that fits your life, and a company-provided van for all deliveries. We are looking for reliable, customer-focused individuals who are passionate about delivering excellent service and fresh products efficiently and safely. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a company-provided delivery van to transport groceries to customer homes.
- Adhere to assigned delivery routes and schedules, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Provide exceptional customer service, including friendly greetings, verifying orders, and assisting with unloading.
- Handle groceries with care, ensuring product quality and freshness upon delivery.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle.
- Comply with all traffic laws and company safety regulations.
- Process delivery paperwork and payment (if applicable) accurately.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout a shift.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic navigation skills and comfort using GPS devices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Familiarity with Boston and surrounding areas.
- Experience with home delivery or courier services (preferred but not required).
